Don’t you wish you could buy a whole new wardrobe each season?… Me too! But, it’s just not practical; and, frankly, it’s not necessary! If you’re like me you’re always trying to transition key pieces into the next season. I don’t know about you, but when I pay more than 50 bucks for a sweater, I’d like to wear it as much as possible.
My wardrobe is a combination of some staple, more expensive pieces, and then many less-expensive pieces. This is the way I’ve always liked to dress. I have no shame in pairing expensive designer shoes with a discount store dress. In fact, I think this is not only economical, but much more fun.
So, today I’m sharing a few pieces and how I get the most wear out of them!
I love to pair a summer mini dress underneath a cozy fall sweater! It’s probably one of my favorite looks to recycle!
This sweater is from Madewell. Madewell is a perfect example of the benefit of splurging a little on a key piece. The quality is incredible and their style is classic so you will have it forever.
This mini dress is from Forever 21 (I told you I’m not afraid of discount stores)! Even if it only lasts me a year, who cares! But overall the quality has been pretty good!
Here’s a little tip… when you love your outfit… wear nude heels. Black heels with this look would have been super cute! But immediately your eyes would have been drawn to my feet. So, if you really want to show off the outfit, keep the shoes muted. These shoes get SO much wear. They are very inexpensive, so I don’t feel bad about over-wearing them! I can always get a new pair!
Lastly, this clutch has lasted me many seasons. I use it as an everyday wallet and throw it in my tote. But it also makes the perfect little bag when I don’t want to carry anything too big. And you honestly can’t beat Madewell leather goods.
