It’s that time again! Time for all of my favorite beauty and skincare finds for the month of June! There are some good ones in this bunch! The main beauty concerns I had this month were dry, brittle hair and some blemish marks I needed to cover up! I’m always on the lookout for the newest and best, and as always I will tell you all my honest opinion!
Let’s get right into it shall we?!
Marrekesh Oil: This stuff has been a lifesaver. My ends have been so dry lately, they were in need of some serious love. This oil is an amazing consistency and smells incredible! I put a generous amount on my ends at night (a couple of times a week) and wash my hair like usual in the morning. When I wake up the oil is almost completely soaked into my hair, that’s how thirsty it is!
Living Proof Restore: I discovered this spray last time I went to the salon. It’s perfect for all hair types and provides a layer of protection so your ends are less likely to snap while detangling. It also provides UV and heat protection up to 400 degrees which is essential in keeping your strands healthy! I love the way it smells, and my hair is so much easier to comb through when I use it! Spray this generously on towel-dried hair before combing and styling!
Living Proof Control Hairspray: I have really grown to love this line and I was in search of a firm hold hairspray that didn’t make my hair sticky or hard to manage. This hairspray is great for hair like mine that is stubborn and never wants to hold a curl. It also provides humidity and heat protection which is perfect for the Miami heat!
Kristen Ess Beach Wave Spray: I actually found this at Target and I love it so far! It’s perfect for getting that coveted just-came-back-from-the-beach look! I will definitely be going back for more of her products! Spray this from middle to ends and style your waves!
St. Tropez Gradual Tan: With my wedding day fast approaching I was in search of a product I could start using to build a natural looking tan. I love a good spray tan, but it seems like I always end up with a smudge or streakiness. A little imperfection is no big deal on any other day, but I don’t want to risk it for my wedding! So far I love this, the results are definitely gradual, but that helps you avoid any streaks or mishaps! Smooth this on evenly all over clean, exfoliated skin and watch your tan grow!
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil: This cleansing oil is amazinggggg. I still love the Tatcha cleansing oil if I have A LOT of makeup on. But for an everyday face of make-up this Kiehl’s cleansing oil is perfect. It’s not as thick of a consistency so if you’re someone with oily skin, you may like this one better. And it smells divine! Warm a small amount between your fingertips and then massage into skin in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water and pat dry!
Garnier Skin active Micellar Cleansing Water: I ALWAYS double cleanse. I hate the though of sleeping all night with make-up and dirt still sitting in my pores. Do a second cleanse with some micellar water and you will see why! No need to scrub, just pour a little on a cotton pad and wipe over your entire face. And then admire all the dirt you removed!
Urban Decay Weightless Skin: This liquid foundation is probably the best coverage I’ve found thus far. I don’t wear it everyday but when I have problem areas to hide, this is perfect. And it really does feel light compared to other full coverage products! I highly recommend this one to anyone in need of a good, full coverage foundation.
Mineral Fusion Sheer Moisture Lip Tint: I found this lip tint at Whole Foods of all places, and I quickly fell in love with it! It’s incredibly moisturizing while leaving you with a perfect pout! The scrumptious formula contains cocoa butter and a lip firming peptide to nourish your lips while making them look perfectly kissable! And the color is buildable so you can also use it on days you want a more drastic look.
Nyx Whipped Lip and Cheek Souffle: This stuff seriously smells and feels good enough to eat. The formula is so soft and concentrated, a little goes a long way. The best part?… It can be used as a highly pigmented gloss, or massage a little into the apples of your cheeks for the perfect blush!
